About Us

Our Journey

Sellers Automotive got its start back in 2009 when I opened a shop with a close friend under the name Sellers-Stewart Automotive. We worked side by side for years, but in 2020, he decided to step away from the industry. That’s when I took over full ownership, moved to a new location, and gave the shop a new name—Sellers Automotive. My wife Tabitha and I now run the business together, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come.

Why Locals Trust Us

What sets us apart? It really comes down to professionalism and personal service. We’re proud to be a locally owned and operated shop right here in Sanford, NC. We treat our customers like neighbors—because they are. We work hard to make sure folks feel respected, informed, and confident in the work we do. Our shop isn’t just about fixing cars—it’s about building trust.

How It All Started

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved working on cars. There’s something about figuring out what’s wrong and making it right that’s always driven me. But more than that, I’ve always wanted to help people. Being able to do both is what led me into the auto repair world—and I’ve never looked back.

Meet the Team

We’ve got a solid crew here at Sellers Automotive. Our head service advisor is a well-known face around town and brings years of experience from a respected family-run automotive chain. Another one of our advisors used to be a technician, so he’s great at breaking things down in a way that customers really understand. In the shop, we’ve got an ASE Master Certified technician who’s also L1 and Toyota Certified, plus another tech who’s ASE and Kia Certified. We’re also proud to have some rising stars—a strong B-level tech, an up-and-coming C-level tech, and a sharp-eyed quality control tech who’s got a serious knack for detail.

Life Outside the Shop

When I’m not turning wrenches or managing the business, I’m all about family time. Between our three kids, we stay pretty busy—especially with soccer games and horse events. My oldest, Brinlee, is a nationally ranked barrel racer and now in college. Our two younger daughters are standout soccer players and keep us on our toes. When we’re not at a field or an arena, you’ll probably find us camping or just relaxing by the water.

A Family-Run Shop

Sellers Automotive is truly a family business. My wife Tabitha and I recently celebrated our first anniversary, and together we’ve built something that we’re really proud of. Our family includes my daughter Brinlee (18), and my two amazing stepdaughters (13 and 9). Every day, we bring our family values into the shop—and we think that makes a big difference.
